Using Messages

In Messages you can send text, photos, videos, voice messages and stamps, one-on-one or in groups. Voice and video calls work too.

• Unsend: long-press your message and choose Unsend. It disappears for the other person too.
• View once: choose it when sending a photo or video, and it can't be opened again after they view it.
• Disappearing messages: set a chat so messages vanish after a set time. Pick the default in Settings → Messages & streaks.
• Read receipts: turn off Read receipts in Settings → Privacy & audience so others don't see when you've read. You then won't see theirs either.

Messages from people you don't know go to Requests, and they won't see that you've read them until you accept.
